Stud poker rules

Seven Card Stud - (7-Card Stud) is presumably the best known poker variation of the world. Every player receives a total of seven cards, from those, however, as usual only five cards are used to form the best poker hand. Before the beginning of a Seven Card Stud hand all players pay a before agreed "compulsive fee" in the pot - the so-called "Ante". Then every player gets two down cards ("Hole Cards") as well as an open card distributed which lies before him. Now the player with the lowest card must use "Bring-in", either small half a fee or a whole small fee (e.g., 5 chips in a 5/10 play). Now the other players act clockwise in which they either fold, go along and call, or raise. If all bets are done, the first betting round is finished.

Tip: If two or more players have an open card of the same value, the lower suit decides who needs to pay the "bring-in". The order of rank of the suit is in this case spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs in descending order.

Now every player receives an other open card which is called "Fourth Street". Now that player whose open cards form the highest poker hand begins the betting round, while he either checks or pay a small bet (5 play chips in a 5/10 play). However, there is an exception: If one of the players has an open pair before himself, this player can already bring a big betting (in our example to 10 chips).

If this betting round has ended, every player who still remained in play receives another open card, this is the "Fifth Street". Once again the player must begin the betting round with the highest open poker hand.

Tip: From now on the betting amounts, in any case, are equal to a big bet (in our example 10 chips).

After this betting round an open card is given once again to every player still remained in the hand, this is the "Sixth Street". Also here as well the player must begin the betting round with the highest open poker hand.

If this betting round is finished, the seventh and last card is given, which is a down card. The player with the highest open poker hand begins the betting round. (This is the same play as on the Sixth Street, because the open cards have not changed.)

If more than one player has remained in the hand after the end of the last betting round, the player shows his down cards first who has effected the last betting or did the last raise. The player with the best poker hand from five of his a total of seven cards wins the pot. If two or more players have an equivalent hand, the pot is split accordingly.

After the pot was distributed the hand starts again.
